As part of the 100 Women Lobby Group activities for the year 1of the Women’s Voice and Leadership Nigeria Project in partnership with ActionAid and Global Affairs Canada, a Social Development Accountability dinner was organized for Female Ministers. The dinner was held at Chopsticks, Maitama on March 3rd, 2020 and was anchored by Dr. Emem Olutoke. The dinner commenced with the rendition of the national and women’s anthem followed by a welcome address by Mrs. Felicia Onibon, President 100 Women Lobby Group.
The purpose of this dinner is to ensure critical and strategic engagement with the women in leadership in Nigeria to bring about gender equality and empowerment of women and girls through evidence-based policymaking and program delivery to tackle the problem of the low representation of women at all levels of governance in Nigeria.
